The RAE0142Z is a replacement CD laser pickup unit (optical pickup / optical block) used in compatible CD players and CD mechanisms that require the RAE0142Z laser assembly. It is typically replaced when the original laser becomes weak or inconsistent, causing issues such as “No Disc”, skipping, or unstable playback.
This optical pickup is supplied as a complete laser unit for CD player repair and maintenance. Professional installation is recommended, as careful handling and correct alignment are important for best results.
Important note (ESD protection jumper):
Some laser pickup units are shipped with a small soldered anti-static protection bridge (ESD jumper) to prevent electrostatic discharge damage during transport. This solder point must be removed with a soldering iron before the laser can operate correctly.
